So far….

Step one: Nod your head like a “yoh” person.
Step two: Act gay
Step Three: Shake your booty
Step Four : Dance Dougie
Step Five: Act like a drama queen…. Or most likely, a horny bitch.

So far, that’s what I’ve learned in our dance entry for the competition.

We’ve already finished the masterpiece, and we are starting to look for our costumes, turns out it’s too pricey (I’ve already used all of my life-savings money). We’re already in the “polishing” part and have a grand finale, we still continue with our production number practice and it’s a good thing that hell coach didn’t put on his horns and tails on that day. Things got really messy at this time so, I have to juggle practices of the hip hop competition and the dessert making and I swear it already drained my blood so easily.

My Busiest day was last Tuesday wherein I stupidly volunteered to report about a section in chapter four in my Tourism class, finish the scrapbook in Physical Education, Have a practice in dessert making and dash to the studio to learn the new steps for the hip hop competition. It was tiring really and with a meager money, I have to settle with biscuits and water. I’m happy that I survived that day, since I didn’t have a good rest since Sunday and got home late because we were stranded when the streets got flooded.

Days went by and we finally got the right recipe for our dessert, production practices were getting on fire and our entry for the hip hop competition still got a little bit messed up. We still couldn’t get the 100% that our coach expected on us but we really tried our very best to do what we could do.

This day, I’m really happy to get the brandy snap right (Brandy snap is a kind of biscuit, more like a tuile but not too sweet) and I did it for only four trials to perfect it. I couldn’t Imagine that I could easily get that garnish right since it’s a really tedious work. Next is the dance: I don’t know which part do I get myself awkward; maybe only in the freestyle moments but I’m really hoping to blend in with the group since the choreographer said that I memorized all the steps already.

A few days left till the competition, so far, it’s really tiring yet enjoyable.
