commercial cooking

Yes! The class week is over! And all I have to do is to forget my tourism grade..
No. no. no. I won’t flunk my tourism subject, but it’s unfair because I put all of my efforts in my itinerary last midterm (but why did I get a 3.4?) : I HAVE TO TAKE THE FINAL EXAM. Screw.it. if only I let those people work on the dessert instead and I’ve gone to the third floor to take my exam then I wouldn’t have a problem at this time.
Well Karl says “You can do it, You can find ways; do not be pessimistic”. And “All is well” from Ranchodas Chanchad from The Three Idiots.
But speaking of my frustrations of the exam let me tell you what happened during the culminating activity.
I woke up and went to the school for the culminating activity in commercial cooking. I was assigned to the group who will make the dessert, turns out we were shorthanded and the leader was assigned to make garlic breads; which leaves my friend Bea to do all the tedious work alone (but don’t worry she had an assistant: melody). I was chopping garlic when I give the task to my friend Claire; I’ve got to help Bea, she’s a poor lady trying to figure things out. When I helped her to prepare coconut shavings, Maricon the angel butt in to help us. Coconut is pretty expensive, Maricon suggested that gelatin could be like a coconut shavings, so we immediately shave the gelatin that just looks like coconut shavings.

She also said that I should wash the coconut shavings with hot water; this will keep the coconut shavings fresh and does not spoil easily. Bea then pour in the heated cream and milk and we mixed it with the other ingredients (which are already washed with cold water, so that the drippings wouldn’t ruin the taste). After that, we make ice tea and it’s very frustrating because we were always been reprimanded by the waiters, I mean annoying Gary, the rest are innocent.
The perks of being part of the kitchen is the cooking part which has a lot of pressure in it, if not, great annoyance to your fellow comrades who usually do the talking and not helping; reprimanding, not asking if there’s a problem and has a little patience. The good part is, you can eat the ones that are prepared but unfortunately too small to be served to the guests which the annoying Gary didn’t even had the chance to enjoy. Hehehe.
So that’s it, the most tiring activity of all the activities and after that, we dash to the nearest eatery to fill our empty stomachs.
