Farewell

Miss Kim closed the bar early just for the sake of our mini farewell. Me and the others were waiting at the guardhouse for Miss Kim and Miss Debz to arrive.
The night chill enveloped me and unfortunately I forgot to bring with me my favorite cardigan. My fever went up high but all I ever needed was to eat a hot meal with hot soup. Somehow there are turn of events: Martin, who I usually seen talking to Bea, found in deep conversation with Janelle.
When Miss Kim and Miss Debz arrived, we walk exit and across the road, plan A: we’ll have our farewell at the nearest restaurant. Turns out, the drinks were not our taste and no entertainment to serenade us, we proceeded to plan B: go to Torres.
While in the jeep, I feel so weak yet I tried myself to keep composed. I rest my head at Miss Debz shoulder but she jokingly said to me to move on Martin’s shoulder. I forgot that we were seated together.
When we hopped down the vehicle, I stayed behind to clean my nose. Somehow I got to hear Janelle and Martin’s conversation: it’s all about the book that Martin got interested in. So he heeded my advice but unfortunately when they ran out of topic, Martin went to Bea and tried to converse with her; unfortunately, Janelle found amusing to tease him about sticking to Bea, so he fall back and talk to Janelle again.
Hmmm.. strange, I get this feeling Janelle likes Martin.
Bea noticed my absence and looked back and saw me, immediately she fall back from the crowd and walked by my side.
“looks like someone’s snatching one’s attention.” Bea said.
“yeah, and she’s pretty obvious.” I said.
“Do you think she likes him?”
“I have a strongest guess that there is.”
“I don’t like that kind of girl who’ll do everything just to catch a guy’s attention.”
“Let her be, looks like Martin’s having fun.”
“ughhh.. she’s really like that.”
“leave her alone Bea, she’s always like that, WE can never change her.”
“Right.”
We arrived at a place wherein they serve separate alcohol drinks at reasonable prices with a band playing reggae and luckily, they also serve good food.
I ordered soup, porkchop and rice, I ate slowly because my stomach wasn’t in best spirits either so I said that I’ll pass drinking.
But Miss Kim insisted that we all drink.
So I have no choice but to oblige but only after I eat and drink the concoction with no ice. I feel a little better after eating a full meal and so we started the bong. Miss Kim went first then Bea and Lexter, three of them drank with one gulp, I on the other hand, have the pleasure to drink anytime I want since I have it in a separate glass. Next is Melody, she’s hesitant at first but she drank anyway, Janelle came next but she didn’t want to because she’s drinking a coke float. They forced her and so she drank and felt her stomach different afterwards. I drank next with my glass and actually it taste awful without ice but tolerable, later on, I feel the heat burning inside me and it’s much better than fever, probably because of the Rum that Miss Kim used as a spirit.
Next Miss Debz then Martin and it went back around again, missing me but when my glass is empty, Miss Kim immediately pour another shot. Bea got red, Melody, the innocent was just fine; Janelle on the other hand kept on complaining of her stomach. When the pitcher was empty, Miss Kim and Miss Debz paid the bill and we go on our separate ways. Me, Melody and Bea went to Mcdonalds to let Bea drink coffee and get ourselves some French fries.
But Lo and Behold! Martin and Miss Kim also went to Mcdonalds and saw us! So the five of us talked as much as we can, Miss Kim laughed at my own way of talking or whatever that comes out of my mouth that’s reasonable or a part of my insane mind. Afterwards we headed home.
I glance at Martin, and he’s really handsome taking off his polo and wearing a white shirt.
“You might melt him Rose.” Miss Kim jokingly said.
I noticed Martin looked in a different direction, at us it is but I’m sure of it that it’s not me, Martin too heard Miss Kim’s joke and so I turned to Bea and said.
“Bea, are you ok? Look’s like you’re melting from someone’s stare.”
It’s obvious that “someone’s stare” is from Martin.
And we all laughed.
