“Hey Rose!” Janelle called

I was there, shocked to see Martin and Janelle together.

Oh, well.

“Hey! Did you just come?” I asked.

“Yeah, Martin saw me.” Janelle replied.

“So I tag her along.” Martin said.

It’s not that I’m jealous, but something’s going on between the two of them.

“You guys don’t mind if I join?”

“Sure!”

I bought food and sat with them, Martin said goodbye and went back to the pizza restaurant before rain starts to pour.

“So everyone was already there at the bar?” Janelle asked.

“Yeah, and I hate them ‘cause I’m sick and no one dared to come with me nor volunteer to work at the pizza restaurant instead of me.. I hate those bitches.” I ranted then ate a spoonful of stir fry vegetables with rice.

Yum.

“Why?” Janelle asked.

“ ve-chause itch my lasht day –and I have to talk to Martin.” I replied. Darn I’m really hungry.

“About that.. you know what we’re really worried about you.” Janelle said.

“Why?” I asked.

“ Because Martin confessed that he likes Bea, and that you might be jealous so we… you know try to put you together.. since you like him and all..”

“and why the heck should I BE JEALOUS Janelle? Who is Martin? My BOYFRIEND? What the hell were you guys thinking.” I said. Looks like I have to chomp those food later. “We were just worried about you Marcy dear.. I mean, you look very serious after what happened.” Janelle reasoned.

Oh, by the way Janelle used my other nickname when she likes it.

“Of course we experienced hell when that annoying customer arrived and besides, I’m always serious to my duty.. and Janelle if I’m jealous, I’ll just keep it to myself! Who am I to flaunt it? I mean.. O come on let’s not be IMMATURE here.” I said.

“So you’re not going to be jealous?” Janelle asked.

“It’s normal to be jealous Janelle, but I’ll just keep it to myself, if ever I AM.. but concerning with Martin and Bea, NO, I’m not jealous.” I said.

Hmmm.. maybe except when George talked to Bea, but I openly said it to Bea, so no big deal. That’s what I like about Bea, we’re very open to each other even though our prank talk turns very personal and in the end we’re still the best of friends.

Well, moving on.

My friends entered the canteen and Janelle shouted “Hey! Why the hell did you leave Rose alone? She’s sick!”

“Shut up Janelle.” Bea said.

So I just finished my meal before everything turns into havoc; everyone, including me got a little bit impatient to Janelle. Sometimes she talks in a wrong place at a wrong time and go against our philosophies and judgments without giving a little bit of respect.

Goodness help us.

So after I took my medicine, I went back to the bar and to the hidden place; there I put both of my feet flat on the ground, and rest my head on the wall…

And take a little bit of rest.

It’s a good thing Janelle came to take my place and wash the dishes at the pizza restaurant. But even though I’m hiding, it’s a lucky night that only one customer came just to drink a bottle of beer.

Somehow I don’t have a choice but to pass by the pizza restaurant because I have to go the employee’s comfort room.

And….

Martin: Hey! How are you?

Me: I’m just fine.

Martin: did you take your medicine?

Me: Yeah, just gonna wait to let it work.

And he smiled, with relief.

I went back to the bar and sleep, sometimes I’m unfortunate when a security guard opened the door and walk past by the whiteboard so I have to dash to the bar area and pretend that I did something and then go back to my hiding place and rest.

Until…

“OH MY GOSH! MA’AM JEM IS HERE!” Janelle shouted.

“whoa.. WHAT? Shoot!”

I ran to the bar area and found the place empty of guests.

“MA’AM JEM IS HERE! MA’AM JEM IS HERE!” Janelle shouted , running back and forth, panicking.

“Rose! How are you?” Miss Debz asked.

“Getting better, Janelle just woke me up from my little slumber.” I said while trying to wear my heels.

“Rose, are you ok? And Janelle.. WILL YOU PLEASE STOP PANICKING?” Bea said.

“I’m fine Bea.. yeah Janelle, so did Ma’am Jem saw you at the restaurant?” I asked.

“Yes! She saw me!” Janelle said.

“aaaaaaaaaaand?” Melody asked

“Nothing happened.” Janelle said

“Why are you guys in such panic?” Miss Kim asked.

“Ma’am Jem is here and she’s our practicum coordinator, she usually checks our performance here if it’s satisfactory.” Melody replied.

“and right now we don’t have guests so Janelle has no right to get panicked… Gosh I’m really shocked, you scared the hell out of me.” Bea said.

“and so am I.” I said.

“Why Rose, you were just there at the back resting, Ma’am Jem wouldn’t see you and besides..” She looked around the place. “ …we don’t have guests.” Bea said.

Martin entered the bar place.

“I wonder what the hell happened here because Janelle seemed so uneasy- crazy perhaps.” He said.

“Shut up Martin, I’m not crazy.” Janelle backfired.

Martin just shrugged and gave the bill to Miss Debz.

“So… we don’t have guests.. Why don’t we have a mini farewell celebration?” Miss Kim asked.

“That would be FUN!” Bea said.

“I’ll pass.. I’m sick.” I said.

“No excuses Rose, it’s your last day and you don’t want to be with us? Oh come on, Martin, YOU HAVE TO COME.” Miss Kim demanded.

“no thank you, I’m tired.” Martin replied.

“No excuses, all of you are forced to come with me, it’s unfair, I will close the bar only for this occasion.”

“Come on Rose, you’ll have to come, it’s just a little sacrifice.” Lexter whispered to me.

“I’ll come.” I said

“Good! Martin?” Kim asked.

“Fine.” Martin agreed.
