Last Nights at The Bar

The last days were still the same, but different in such a way that I talk to foreigners and accidentally gave them wrong information.

Well at least… they didn’t recognize it. Haha.

I was cleaning the windows when somebody called me.

It was George.

He had this happy aura, and got himself busy posting posters. Maybe because Bea gave him a chance to be recognized as a suitor, but at least he didn’t treat me as a ghost anymore.

I greeted him back, he’s such a different person ever since that party at Torres, but even though I have a crush on him, my friends prefer Martin.

Next day, I got a dry feeling in my throat. It’s only two nights left but my body couldn’t take it anymore.

I asked for a free shot of Vodka to ease the pain of sore throat, but looks like it’s helpless. I went to the clinic for a medicine; four hours later it went back. Bea gave me hot water with salt, but it didn’t work either.

I was hoping it wouldn’t be tonsillitis again, or else I’ll pay two thousand bucks for the medication and drink fifteen capsules of generic antibiotics.

So what I did was not to take it seriously and go back to my work pace. Martin decided to stay at the bar and chat with us for a while.

Until, my friends couldn’t stop the teasing and ask him who his crush is.

“Of course! It’s Rose!!!” Miss Kim said.

Martin just smiled but kept his mouth shut.

“Come on Martin! Tell us… we don’t take Miss Kim’s guess seriously.” Bea said.

“Do I have to?” Martin said.

“Of course! Few days left and we will be leaving.. it would be such a waste if you didn’t tell her how you feel.” Melody said.

“It’s obviously ROSE!” Miss Kim said.

“Come on Martin tell us!” Miss Debz joined.

“ Maybe she’s too dense that’s why you have to say it.” I said.

“well…. It’s pretty obvious who that girl is…” Martin said.

“Who?” Bea asked.

“well… it’s really obvious.” Martin said

“ Come on…” I said.

He just smiled and looked at me.

To be continued..
