Angeli

Angeli and I met two years ago at the Church, as volunteers for putting up the Christmas Belen. At first, I got confused with her name because there were two “Angel” names: Angeli and Angelou; sometimes I call Angeli, Angelou, so to be safe.. I call them both “gel”.

Now, I know who is Angeli and Angelou, but I’m more close with Angeli; for the reason that she’s the only angel who could surprisingly tell me how adorable my fashion style is (she doesn’t know that I only mix and match my old outfits, or that I bought them at thrifty street side vendors, “ukay” for short). Calls me “payat” and  “sexy” a realization that dawn unto me that I should be comfortable with my body structure, and she’s the only one who successfully made me realize it . She's also  interested with my crafty skills in sewing (shocked that she discovered that I made a purse by handmade).

The only time I supported her was when she do ramp modeling, I came to see the show and at the end went to the backstage to greet her. She was surprised that of all of her acquaintances at the Church, I’m the only one who bothered to watch and support her.

Sometimes, during noon masses, I will operate the projector and ended up accompany her for the rest of the mass, though we don’t talk and only exchange greetings, the atmosphere of company lingers; when the mass ended, we’ll chat what we can catch up.

During the Christmas break, I went to the Church just to ask copies of some movies and of course, seasons of The Vampire Diaries (and our common crush is Damon Salvatore a.k.a Ian Somerhalder ). She then told me about her lovelife and I told her about my obsession in crafts; one time I found myself asking her if she had beads and she gladly gave them all to me. In the end, we chatted about the series and we also envy the beauty of Victoria’s Secret Angels.

Angeli, to sum it all up, was one of the people I know that made me realize how lucky I am to live on this earth. A fun, quirky person as she is, her unique personality and most especially her strong faith that manifests through joining different activities in the Parish, inspires me to the core.

This post is dedicated to her, even though she may not read it. I considered her as one of my trusted circle of friends. I rarely write blog posts like these, but hopefully I could write more since I have lots of friends worth writing for. ;)
