Resolution: Pretty Random

I have a list of my new year’s resolution, I have to do something about me having a positive outlook in life. I do have dreams, but whenever I think that it’s impossible, I have to settle on achieving these instead.

1   1.)    Buy new clothes.

S    Since when did the last time I had a shopping spree? Only when my brother’s family could let me pick anything for an hour and thirty minutes for free. When did the last time I had a new shirt (from a new trend)? When my friends give me gifts or somebody donated. Whether I settle on Chinatown, Bazaars or thrift sidewalk vendors, as long as I bought enough clothes and shoes to get me by for a year, that would be fine.

2   2.)    Have a happy disposition in life or to put it simply, be ENTHUSIASTIC.

S    Shutting of my humanity is not a good thing, although it helps me to get by whenever I’m alone or in depression, but sometimes it gets in the way of me living life to the fullest. Sometimes, it only gives bad vibes and creating conflicts.

3   3.)    Upgrade “Me” time.

My “Me” time usually happens when I have money, which unfortunately spent on FOOD. Well, I               finally upgraded it and find ways that is not expensive.

Before, me time happens when I went along the bazaars on weekends, drink beer while watching a movie or stroll along the park. Now, let’s upgrade it and do it THREE TIMES a week, I think that would be a good experiment, helps boost being independent without shutting off my humanity and accept the life of a hermit without sacrificing social life.

So I made a list of my “Me” time, but I’ll let you know if it’s getting effective.

4   4.)    Cook.

Dad keeps on reprimanding me on cooking.... cooking food in a rice cooker. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.

5   5.)    Bringing back my “artistic” side.

My artistic me has been dormant for approximately THREE years, that means when I started college, I RARELY draw. So right now, I’m working on my crafts, unfortunately, I’ll start on sewing and when I finished three masterpieces, I’ll post them in my craft site. Kathleen suggested this idea last year, and with the inspiration from Joey made me realize that I should really get back to my artistic side.

6   6.)    Eat right.

My infamous new year’s resolution was “TO EAT PLENTY”. Unfortunately, it only worked whenever I reside in my eldest brother’s home (which I could simply cook pancakes, and other weird food concoctions.. and then do nothing and then eat again.)  I realized that if ever I had a battle with life, how could I possibly go through it without making sure my body could also handle everything? So, my New Year’s resolution is to EAT RIGHT and that means hitting the books in Nutrition inside the library.. haha.

7   7.)    Save money.

Save money so that I could do these things. HAHAHAHA. Seriously, how could I possibly do the first resolution if I have no money? And the second? Silly. Anyways, I have to save money so that I could easily abandon my lonely life here and buy a ticket to Cebu. Or somewhere. In the future of course.

8    8.)    Mingle.

How could I find Mr. Right if I don’t date or mingle? Upgrading Social Status on the way!

9    9.)    Eat sweets.

I RARELY EAT ONE. No wonder I got easily depressed. And I don’t think of any new year’s resolution for number nine, so I make it random.

1    10.)  Get through my OLD stuff.

One of the hardest thing to do because I am a sentimental person. I desperately have to because it also accumulated dust and a home to disgusting pests. Ew.

Hopefully, I could do these things because I sometimes tend to be a hypocrite, but to be honest, I almost crossed out on my “to do” list when I was 18, so I think these New Year’s Resolutions could also be done.

Good luck to me!

Well your friend should read this. Or better yet, print this and show her. She deserves to know your sweet thoughts about her. It was nice to drop by your blog!
